UPDATE: Make sure to check out the final product!

Many of you know that I am a mongo Neil Gaiman fan. If you don't know who he is, go to your nearest library and check out a book. I recommend, oh, all of them. Anyhoodle, I am stuck in the middle of this needlepoint sampler. I need a caption. Like a good Neil Gaiman quote or something. What's your favorite Neil Gaiman quote? Just make one up if you don't have one.

  6. Not really a Neil Gaiman quote, but he quoted it. From the beginning of Coraline,

"Fairy Tales are more than true; not because they tell us that dragons exist, but because they tell us that dragons can be beaten."
    -GK Chesterton

  15. I would use anything from Sam's big long speech in American Gods: http://www.fantasymaps.com/stuff/gods.html

Specifically, I love the last sentence. "I believe life is a game, that life is a cruel joke, and that life is what happens when you’re alive and that you might as well lie back and enjoy it."

  18. "Sometimes you wake up. Sometimes the fall kills you. And sometimes, when you fall, you fly." ~ Todd Faber (Neil Gaiman's "The Sandman: Fables and Reflections")

Got it from a website so I'm not sure the reference is correct. I've seen it shortened to, "...when you fall, you fly." One of my favorites.
